How I Built My E-Portfolio
On February 4, 2022—my birthday—I began building my e-portfolio, a project that combined my passion for coding with a desire to showcase my work. Over time, this digital space has evolved into a reflection of my journey as a developer.
Starting from Scratch
I built the portfolio using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, supplemented with a bit of jQuery. While jQuery might seem outdated, it was a tool I knew well from middle school, enabling me to work efficiently. My design inspiration came from platforms like Dribbble and Pinterest, but I created all the elements myself to ensure the site felt personal and unique.
Simple and Effective Design
The portfolio features a clean, minimalist design that prioritizes usability. By avoiding frameworks, I kept the development process straightforward and maintained full control over every detail. Through iterative updates, I’ve enhanced both functionality and aesthetics. The result is a polished, practical platform that effectively showcases my skills.
Bringing the Blog to Life
A blog section was always on my to-do list, but it wasn’t until a university project that I finally implemented it. The blog is designed for readability, with a simple, user-friendly layout. Adding new posts is efficient—I write a title, include images, draft the content, and occasionally add tags. For the “minutes to read” metric, I leverage AI tools to calculate it quickly.
Looking Back
Building my e-portfolio has been an incredibly rewarding experience. It’s more than just a personal website; it’s a dynamic record of my growth as a developer and designer. I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished and look forward to continuing to improve and expand it. Hopefully, it will inspire others to embark on similar creative projects.
